You have likely landed on this web page because something in your life is not working for you and you are seeking help to make changes. Life throws all sorts of challenges our way and navigating the best path forward sometimes means asking for professional help from someone who is objective and non-judgmental as well as compassionate.

I offer psychological services to individuals (from 16 years of age) who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, confidence issues, relationship difficulties, PTSD, trauma, personality disorders, OCD and other stressor- related disorders, remembering that this is not an exhaustive list. These services are provided using an evidence based approach to support quality therapy and assessments.

Therapeutic Orientation

Our early experiences create instinctual patterns for relating and behaving in our world. We often develop coping skills that may have been effective at one time in our lives, but as we grow, and circumstances change, these coping mechanisms no longer serve us. I will assist you to gain awareness of the link between your thoughts, emotions and behaviours along with developing an understanding of how you came to be where you are and the pathway forward to lasting change. I favour science-backed therapy such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy using a combination of education to understand where you are at now and together developing a practical and tangible way forward.

The most important part of any therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist. There are lots of modalities and tools available to help you, but a sense of safety, confidentiality, security and connection with your therapist is the most important element towards making lasting change.
